Clarios, a global leader in advanced low-voltage battery technologies, proudly celebrated the 65th anniversary of its Geneva, Illinois, manufacturing facility over the weekend. The milestone event highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and the dedicated people who make these facilities exceptional places to work.

Every day, America relies on low-voltage batteries as a critical part of the nation’s transportation infrastructure—powering cars, tractors, semi-trucks, boats, airplanes, and even military vehicles. Clarios batteries and advanced smart solutions energize nearly every type of vehicle on the road and can be found in more than half of all cars and trucks across the U.S. In Geneva, the people behind this work – employees whose skill and dedication help deliver the low-voltage batteries that keep America moving – are a source of pride.

More than 500 employees and their families gathered to mark the occasion, enjoying an afternoon of celebration and recognition. Highlights included live music from the company’s own band, Fully Charged, classic carnival games, local food trucks, and recognition for team members with over 20+ years of service at Clarios. The Geneva plant continues to demonstrate its commitment to community engagement through support of local initiatives such as Toys for Tots and Valley Industrial Association. Key efforts include ongoing partnership with the City of Aurora to host job fairs that connect residents with employment opportunities.

Plant Manager, Jay Noecker, elaborates, “Celebrating 65 years of being part of the Geneva community is a proud milestone for our entire team. We take great responsibility in continuing the Clarios mission of continued excellence and growth.” Noecker himself has been a Clarios employee for 34 years and has served as Plant Manager in Geneva for over two years.

Since the 60’s, the Geneva plant has served as one of the top employers in the Geneva community. In 2025, $14 million was invested in enhancing overall facility infrastructure to strengthen its operational capabilities and commitment to growth.

As one of the oldest Clarios facilities in the U.S., Geneva employees and leadership are proud to carry on this legacy of innovation in manufacturing. Noecker says it well, “To see so many employees and people in our community join in on this milestone was quite overwhelming and heartwarming.  I am proud of what this plant and team members have accomplished over the past 65 years.”
