At Clarios, we know that the health and safety of our employees is the foundation for everything we do. That’s why this June, we launched our first-ever EMEA Health Month – a month-long initiative dedicated to promoting physical wellbeing, mental resilience, and workplace safety across all our locations and functions in the region.
Guided by the mottos “Make your health a team sport” and “Safety is a team mission,” the campaign emphasized that wellbeing isn’t an individual task – it’s something we achieve together. From Italy to Romania, from Spain to Germany – teams in every country brought this message to life through creative, engaging, and inspiring local initiatives, demonstrating the collective power of community and care in building a healthier, safer workplace for all.

A Month of Movement, Mindfulness, and Mission
Health Month was built on the idea that we’re strongest when we look after our wellbeing together. Across functions and locations, employees took part in a wide variety of activities that promoted physical, mental, and workplace health. During our dedicated Safety Week, interactive trainings and quizzes – including driving simulations, stress tests, reaction challenges, and VR-based relaxation – helped raise awareness across sites. Throughout the month, expert sessions on resilience, digital wellbeing, ergonomics, and nutrition provided practical tools for everyday life.
Local teams brought Health Month to life with initiatives like health checks, step challenges, mindfulness meetups, fitness contests, and even a gelato-making workshop using natural ingredients. Sporting events like the B2Run in Hanover and a dragon boat race fueled team spirit, while social initiatives, from a cancer awareness charity run in Spain to a children’s safety-themed drawing contest, reminded us how wellbeing connects us to one another, our families, and our communities.

A Digital Challenge That United Us All
To connect and engage our teams across borders and departments, we introduced the Clarios Health Race through the collaboration with the provider Tappa who contributed a fun and interactive digital challenge via an App. Employees tracked their steps and logged their activities to unlock virtual destinations, collect points, and compete in teams. The app became a playful yet powerful tool to bring our people together – wherever they were.
