The Summer Internship Program at Clarios

New Graduates

New graduates, explore one of our rotational programs within engineering, marketing, IT, finance or manufacturing. These two-year programs are led by our corporate leaders sponsored by our C-level executive sponsors specifically designed to expose fresh graduates to many facets of the functional area within both corporate and plant locations. These roles are a great way to continue your learning while accelerating your path to a leadership role. Our programs are flexible based on your interest and typically feature multiple assignments in your chosen functional area at the Corporate, Global, U.S., and plant location level, plus, possibly a capstone rotation with the opportunity to work internationally.

Alumni

Alumni from our summer internship program and rotational development programs are present throughout Clarios today. They benefited from a unique entry into the company – either while still in school or immediately upon graduation.

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

I chose to join Clarios because of the great coworkers, great managers, good work-life balance, interesting projects, competitive pay for the Milwaukee area, and I love living in Milwaukee! :)

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

I would consider what you want out of a job, whether it’s a specific skill you want to learn on the job or explore a certain career path or opportunity. Also ask about the corporate culture and how you can grow and succeed. Clarios is a great place to start with lots of different jobs to explore and great people to network with.

What is the most important thing you got out of working a summer with us during college?

After my internship at Clarios, I gained knowledge of new tools and skills, the automotive industry (and batteries of course), how to ask for help when you’re stuck on a problem and more confidence in my abilities as an engineer.

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

As an environmentalist and communication specialist, I get to learn from best-in-class leaders, develop skills, and be part of the future of transportation.

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

The best part of this job is the people. They bring our values to life, challenge the status quo and win together. They inspire me to keep growing.

What is the most important thing you got out of working a summer with us during college?

The power of asking good questions and getting to know every person you can, especially those from other business units.

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

I joined Clarios as one of the first members of the rotational finance program. It was one thing to learn about the different areas of finance and another to actually experience it for myself. Clarios offers the opportunity to explore different career pathways and provides a phenomenal support system.

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

I remember feeling overwhelmed when I first graduated. Clarios helped me transition from college to the professional workforce. From social hours to team events, this is truly a tight knit community. If you are looking for a company to grow with, I would recommend you apply here!

From Ethan who currently works in Product Engineering

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

I chose the rotational program because it gave me the opportunity to experience different kinds of roles, to learn more about myself and what my skills are. It helped me network within the company and make connections and friendships at work. I chose Clarios in general, because it is an industry leader in an increasingly exciting battery industry, with its global headquarters in Glendale, WI and offered great compensation and benefits.

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

Clarios is well-positioned in an industry that is not going anywhere. There are friendly coworkers (especially in the rotational programs), opportunities to travel, and an emphasis on work-life balance (including half-day Fridays in the summer). It is a great place to start your career.

What is the most important thing you got out of your summer with us?

Going to a plant and seeing what the manufacturing processes look like, what the product really looks like on the inside, really helps give perspective to what we all are working towards in the organization. Every intern should go to at least one plant to learn as much as they can!

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

I chose to join Clarios because it is company that allowed me to expand upon my chemical engineering knowledge while also being close to home.

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

I returned to Clarios as a fresh college graduate because everyone instantly welcomed and supported me throughout my learning journey. The people here are willing to answer all your questions, no matter the difficulty.

What is the most important thing you got out of your summer with us?

I learned how to work with others based in other countries. You have to take into account differences in work and societal cultures, and ensure your plans are able to accommodate delays in communication.

Why did you choose to join Clarios?

I had a very successful summer internship at Clarios. By the end of the summer, I implemented training documents and daily reports that are still used today. I also learned many functional skills such as Excel, data analysis, public speaking, and critical thinking. So I pursued one of the Finance Rotational positions upon graduating.

What would you say to someone exploring Clarios as a choice fresh out of college or trade/tech school?

Exploring Clarios through one of the rotational programs is a great way for you to explore different areas of your specialty in a fast-paced environment and make many connections along the way. I love the family-like atmosphere that Clarios has, and I am excited to continue learning throughout this program.

What is the most important thing you got out of your summer with us?

The most important part about my summer internship was all of the connections I was able to make through the informational interviews/weekly intern calls.
